Equipment Needed for KFM Lynbrook New York Classes:

When we train inside please wear standard workout clothes (Most people wear shorts, sneakers and our KFM Lynbrook Training Shirt- regular cotton shirts will not hold up to our training & rip).

When we train outside please dress according to the weather. Announcements are always made days prior to training outside. Look at the Academy Calendar on the wall when you enter the Academy or on this website under “Schedule”.

Below is a list of equipment that a student will need for their particular Grade. Brand new White Grade students will need the White Grade Equipment listed below. Each Grade requires additional equipment as the student becomes more skilled and the training intensifies.

White Grade Equipment:

Mouthpiece & Groin protector (we recommend the “Shock Doctor”)

A Note on Footwear:
For Inside training most students wear regular sneakers or Boxing or Wrestling shoes.
You can wear whatever footwear you like though.

For Outside Training we recommend a pair of old sneakers or old boots. Your footwear will take a beating on the cement, so we recommend to wear something old and/or cheap. Again, you can wear any footwear you like though.

Yellow Grade Equipment, all the above and:

Knee Pads- We recommend the Brute or Franklin Knee Pads which have a thick layer of padding around the knee and are machine washable.

MMA Training Gloves- Title MMA training gloves (item# MMTG), Note-you must have the equivalent of 16oz padding around your knuckles or you risk injuring your hands. We have found these to be the best!

Orange Grade Equipment, all the above and:

Head Gear- We recommend the Title head gear (item#: THGFF). or the Pro Force headgear with the Cathcers face mask for those who can’t risk injuring their nose or good looks do to work Both offer great protection at a great price.

Shin Guards- We recommend the Twins Brand shin guards made in Thailand. Again excellent quality at a great price. These will last a lifetime!!

Forearm/Elbow Guards- We recommend the Century Forearm/Elbow guards
